At SIL, we strongly believe that social development of communities, customers, employees and shareholders is our corporate responsibility. SIL is determined to strive as a role model in the area of socio communal development.

Ch. Nazar Mohammad & Mohammad Husain Memorial Society Hospital – This project features an 8 bed comprehensive, well equipped hospital in Gandhra, Gujrat. It also includes fully functional facilities like Operation Theatre, Laboratory, X-Ray and Ultrasound. Approximately 26,517 patients were treated in the year 2013 alone at the hospital which offers free surgical care to the patients residing in Gandhara and its neighboring villages.

Service Free Dispensary – Located in Gujrat, this dispensary has been set up especially for patients with low incomes, who can get medicines and consultation through the dispensary for free. This dispensary also includes fully functional and free services of Ultrasound, X-ray and Laboratory. Approximately 44,035 patients received free medication and consultation in the year 2013 alone.

Service High School for Boys, Gujrat – Established in Gujrat, this school serves as an educational institute for the underprivileged students in the area. Currently, a total of 250 students are enrolled in the school.

Bagh-e-Rehmat – Set up in Lahore, this educational institute offers both primary and secondary education options for under privileged boys and girls. More than 380 students are receiving education from this institute.

Dar-ul-Kafala – Located in Lahore, this exclusive multi-residence housing facility aims to provide shelter to the homeless senior citizens of the city and its suburbs. The cohesive project provides recreational activities, event and gatherings, basic health care and meals.

Community Investment

Shalamar Hospital – A charity hospital in Lahore founded in 1982 by the founders of our Company, Ch. Mohammad Husain and Ch. Nazar Mohammad. It is owned and managed by the Businessman Hospital Trust (BHT). In 2013 alone, a donation of PKR 9.3 Million was made by Service Industries Limited.

SIL also donates PKR 9 Million to other organizations, NGOs and entities like Servis Charitable Trust, Progressive Education Network, Thalassemia Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD and Sindh Institute of Urology and Care Foundation.

PEN Progressive Education Network: Service Industries Limited sponsors Ten Schools in Gujrat that are managed by PEN.

Flood Activities

In 2010 and 2011, Servis Tyres supported various flood affected regions throughout Pakistan.

With the aid of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Servis Tyres initiated a collective flood relief operation in the Mirpur Khas district. Special attention was given to worst affected areas such as Samaro, Kunri and Farooqabad.

Rehabilitation Activities

Within a short span of 90 days, 4 villages, namely Mohamadpur (South East of Rajanpur), Tharri Walla, Shah Walli and Bastti Rinda were reconstructed to rehabilitate the flood affectees.
100 houses were reconstructed and household items (utensils and quilts) were provided.
100 families were provided with a month’s food supply.
Water pumps were installed in every house.

Consumer Protection Measures

We remain committed to producing quality products and exceeding the varying expectations and requirements of our ever growing customer community. To us, customer satisfaction is the foremost concern and we cater to it by offering quality products at competitive rates which are backed by solid warranties.

Food Distribution

60 tons of food goods were distributed among the flood affectees. In addition, medical camps were set up in the affected areas with the purpose of providing free consultation and medicines.

Tractors, seeds, and fertilizers were provided to facilitate agriculture and economy in the affected areas.

Servis Model Village

Schools for boys and girls along with 4 mosques were reconstructed. With the help of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (Punjab), a village called Rakh Fazal Pur in District Rajanpur was reconstructed and a model village called “Servis Model Village”, comprising of 100 houses was constructed with most modern facilities including clean drinking water, covered sewerage, livestock sheds, biogas plants, solar energy systems, schools, mosques, parks, play areas and paved roads.

Contribution to National Exchequer

In 2013, the company contributed PKR 730 million towards national exchequer on account of taxes, duties and levies.
